Let us look at a redundant Promise constructor

☠️ Wrong

💖 Correct

Wrapping a promise with Promise constructor is just redundant and defeats the purpose of the promise itself .

redundant and defeats the purpose of the promise itself

😎 Protip

If you are a nodejs person, I recommend checking out util.promisify . This tiny thing helps you convert your node style callback into promises.

Javascript provides Promise.resolve , which is a short hard for writting something like this:

This has multiple use cases and my favourite one being able to convert a regular (sync) javascript object into a promise.

You can also use it as a safety wrapper around a value which you are unsure whether it is a promise or regular value.

Javascript also provides Promise.reject , which is a short hand for this

One of my favourite use case is rejecting early with Promise.reject .

In simple words, use Promise.reject wherever you want to reject promise.

In the example below I use inside a .then

Note: You can put any value inside Promise.reject just like Promise.resolve . The reason you often find Error in a rejected promise is that it is primarily used for throwing an async error.

Javascript provides , which is a shorthand for …. well I can't come up with this 😁.

In a pseudo algorithm, Promise.all can be summarised as

The following example shows when all the promises resolve:

This one shows when one of them fails:

Note: Promise.all is smart! In case of a rejection, it doesn't wait for all of the promises to complete!. Whenever any promise rejects, it immediately aborts without waiting for other promises to complete.

😎 Protip Promise.all does not provide a way to execute promises in batches(concurrency), since by design promises are executed the moment they are created. If you want to control the execution, I recommend trying out . ( Thanks Sarto by Franco Sarto Laurel Over The Knee Boot Womens Y7PuY1IC
for this tip.

How often do we fear errors being gobbled up somewhere in between?

To overcome this fear, here's a very simple tip:

Make the rejection handling the problem of the parent function.

Ideally, rejection handling should be at the root of your app and all the promise rejections trickle down to it.

1.2 User Generated Content

Apps with user-generated content present particular challenges, ranging from intellectual property infringement to anonymous bullying. To prevent abuse, apps with user-generated content or social networking services must include:

Apps with user-generated content or services that end up being used primarily for pornographic content, objectification of real people (e.g. “hot-or-not” voting), making physical threats, or bullying do not belong on the AppStore and may be removed without notice. If your app includes user-generated content from a web-based service, it may display incidental mature “NSFW” content, provided that the content is hidden by default and only displayed when the user turns it on via your website.

1.3 Kids Category

The Kids Category is a great way for people to easily find apps that are designed for children. If you want to participate in the Kids Category, you should focus on creating a great experience specifically for younger users. These apps must not include links out of the app, purchasing opportunities, or other distractions to kids unless reserved for a designated area behind a parental gate. Keep in mind that once customers expect your app to follow the Kids Category requirements, it will need to continue to meet these guidelines in subsequent updates, even if you decide to deselect the category. Learn more about parental gates .

Apps in the Kids Category may not include behavioral advertising (e.g. the advertiser may not serve ads based on the user’s activity), and any contextual ads must be appropriate for young audiences. You should also pay particular attention to privacy laws around the world relating to the collection of data from children online. Be sure to review the Privacy section of these guidelines for more information.

1.4 Physical Harm

If your app behaves in a way that risks physical harm, we may reject it. For example:

1.5 Developer Information

People need to know how to reach you with questions and support issues. Make sure your app and its Support URL include an easy way to contact you; this is particularly important for apps that may be used in the classroom. Failure to include accurate and up-to-date contact information not only frustrates customers, but may violate the law in some countries. Also ensure that Wallet passes include valid contact information from the issuer and are signed with a dedicated certificate assigned to the brand or trademark owner of the pass.

1.6 Data Security

Apps should implement appropriate security measures to ensure proper handling of user information collected pursuant to the Apple Developer Program License Agreement and these Guidelines (see Guideline 5.1 for more information) and prevent its unauthorized use, disclosure, or access by third parties.

2. Performance

2.1 App Completeness

Purport to represent whole cities, regions, countries or official policy makers without the approval of DiEM25’s CC. For this purpose, they are assigned names such as DSC London 1, DSC Barcelona 1, etc. so that when other DSCs appear in the same vicinity they can adopt the names DSC London 2, DSC Barcelona 2 etc.

To make clear that opinions expressed are those of the particular DSC, and not of DiEM25 for the whole region/country in which the DSC is located, DSCs will use the white background logo for public online posts, while the broader organisation will use the orange/red logo. DSCs will also sign all press releases and other materials with their DSC name or with “DiEM25 Volunteers in …”, so as to distinguish them from messages by elected representatives of DiEM25. (See details on Social Media Rules for DSCs and Volunteers )

How to create a DSC

The up-to-date list of DSCs can always be found at New Balance Numeric AM210 WUD27aV
. If there is already a DSC in your city, you are still encouraged to create another one, as each DSC is supposed to have no more than 15 active members. Of course you are encouraged to coordinate informally with the other DSCs in your area or group of DiEM25 members interested in the same theme/policy area.

Principles of successful DSC meetings

Small group discussion is the key element in empowering members. People become more committed through the physical act of speaking. Conversely if people do not speak at all in a meeting or very little, then they become passive and feel disempowered. The primary aim of DSC meetings should be to motivate and empower its members through peer-group activities that build a collective identity and a common political outlook.

DSCs must strive to find answers to the question: What do DiEM25 values and principles meanin practice? How can meetings make participants leave the (physical or digital) room feeling enthused rather than alienated?

DSCs are encouraged to discuss within them, but also across different DSCs, the rules of inclusive engagement so members are aware of them from the beginning, and to avoid having to conjure them up after anti-social and coercive behaviour is observed.

Procedure to create a local DSC

Go to the KSwiss Hoke SP CMF JqoQxE
and navigate to the subforum for your country or region. Either create or answer a post about forming a DSC there. Then write an email to volunteer@ null . If you have already had a physical meeting of at least five people, you will receive an official DSC name and listing in the directory, where others can find you. If you haven’t yet had such a meeting, we can help you send a message to all DiEMers in your city in order to jump-start the process.

Insulin has recently also been shown to suppress AP-1 ( 25 ), a transcription factor that regulates the expression of matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs). MMPs are capable of lysing collagen and other matrix proteins and thereby allow the spread of inflammatory cells ( Steve Madden Spiral Faux Fur Slide Sandal 3908u6lCu1
36 . They thus mediate the thinning and finally the rupture of the atherosclerotic plaque, which triggers thrombosis as described above. MMPs also mediate the initial intimal injury, which allows the monocytes to enter the subendothelial intima in between endothelial cells. The suppression of MMPs secondary to that of AP-1 would therefore be protective to the endothelium and to the fibrous cap of the plaque. This could be useful in the clinical setting of unstable angina, which is associated with the rupture of the atherosclerotic plaque. AP-1 and MMPs are also suppressed by glucocorticoids in vitro ( adidas Running Alphabounce EM Coated k1YFPj6quJ
, adidas OutdoorTerrex Skychaser IZTJbX51
) and in vivo ( 19 ). Glucocorticoids also suppress Egr-1 and, more than likely therefore, TF and PAI-1 ( 39 ).

One mechanism underlying the anti-inflammatory effect of insulin may be through the release of NO from the endothelium; NO is known to exert an anti-inflammatory effect ( 40 ). Insulin has also been shown to induce an increase in the expression of NO synthase (NOS), the enzyme that generates NO ( 41 ). The induction of NOS and the release of NO acutely impart to insulin a vasodilatory property through the action of NO on the vascular smooth muscle. A similar effect of insulin on platelets allows it to exert an anti-aggregatory effect. The platelet has NOS that is activated by insulin to induce the generation of NO. NO exerts its effects on vascular smooth muscle and platelets through the activation of guanylate cyclase, which generates cGMP from GTP ( KENZO Espadrille Flat 2j39963Ov
44 ). The vasodilatory and antiplatelet effects are clearly of importance in the treatment of acute myocardial infarction. It is also of interest that NO may mediate at least a part of the anti-inflammatory effect attributable to insulin since the coincubation of an NOS inhibitor, nitro-arginine, with insulin and human aortic endothelial cells neutralizes the suppressive effect of insulin on the expression of ICAM-1 by these cells ( 14 ).

It should be mentioned that insulin sensitizers of the thiazolidinedione (TZD) class have been shown to exert anti-inflammatory effects including the suppression of NF-κB, ROS generation, and p47 phox subunit in mononuclear cell (MNC) and plasma concentrations of ICAM-1, MCP-1, TNF-α, and CRP. More recently, rosiglitazone has been shown to suppress plasma MMP-9 concentrations in diabetes ( 45 ). While one expects their effects to be useful in chronic situations, it is relevant that their anti-inflammatory effects are observed in 3–7 days in humans in vivo. In an experimental model of acute myocardial infarction, even a single dose of rosiglitazone has been shown to reduce myocardial damage by 50% ( 46 , adidas Outdoor Terrex CC Boat Parley dT2mIpBT9r
). Therefore, the potential anti-inflammatory effect of TZDs in acute clinical situations requires investigation.
